  Venue: Thirumandhamkunnu Bhagavathy Temple, Perinthalmanna, Malappuram district, north Kerala. This annual eleven day festival is one of the major event in northern Kerala. Grand elephant processions, performance of art forms like poothamkali, nayadi, etc, form the highlights of the festival. Hundreds of young women partake in the Mangalya pooja (prayers for a happy and long marriage) a ritual unique to this temple.
